What inspired you to start your business, and how has your identity as a woman of color shaped your journey as an entrepreneur?
My journey started from a deep desire to restore confidence in others. As a nurse practitioner, I saw firsthand how wellness and aesthetics could transform not just how people look, but how they feel about themselves. I founded Infinite Glow to merge clinical excellence with heart-centered care, especially for women who often put themselves last.
Being a woman of color has shaped every part of this journey. It’s meant breaking barriers, carrying unspoken expectations, and showing up in rooms where I wasn’t always expected—or welcomed—to lead. But it’s a gift. It's also given me a powerful lens of empathy, strength, and innovation. I carry my culture and my community with me in every business decision.
What challenges have you faced in scaling your brand, and what mindset or strategies helped you overcome them?
Scaling a brand as a solo founder meant doing a lot with a little. I learned to navigate funding, hiring, visibility, and self-doubt all at once. One of the biggest challenges was learning to trust myself as a CEO, not just a clinician. I had to work on shifting my mindset: I stopped seeing myself as just a provider and fully stepped into my role as a business owner and leader. I invested in mentorship, ongoing education, and refused to let fear of the unknown stop me from learning how to operate at a higher level. I constantly remind myself that growth requires both grace and grit.
How do you balance personal wellness with the demands of leadership, and what advice would you give to other women trying to do the same?
I remind myself that I am my first priority. My ability to lead, serve, and create depends on how well I care for myself. I’ve learned that I can’t pour from an empty cup. I make time for morning stillness, prayer, nourishing meals, and intentional breaks—even if it’s just five minutes between clients. I remind myself that rest is a strategy, not a setback. I would tell other women: give yourself permission to rest without guilt. Protect your peace fiercely. You cannot pour into others from an empty cup. And understand that self-care is not a luxury, it’s part of your business plan.
Can you share a pivotal moment in your business that taught you a powerful lesson about resilience or reinvention?
There was a time early on when I launched a service I believed in—but it didn’t take off the way I wanted it to. I felt discouraged, but instead of quitting, I leaned into the feedback, rebranded the offer, and relaunched with clarity. That pivot ended up becoming one of our most successful services.
It taught me that failure isn’t final—it’s data. Every setback is an invitation to refine, not retreat.
What legacy do you hope to leave through your work, and how are you paving the way for the next generation of Brown CEOs?
I want my legacy to be about creating access, confidence, and generational change. I want women — especially women of color — to see that it’s possible to build a thriving business, serve your community, and honor your calling. I’m committed to mentorship, education, and opening doors for the next generation so they don’t have to walk this path alone. I don’t just want to be successful—I want to hold the door open for the next woman behind me.
