Humor and Heart: Advocate Fights for Equality and Empowerment

What inspired you to pursue a career in community advocacy and mental health, and how do your various roles interconnect in this mission?

I pursued a career in community advocacy and mental health because I wanted to be the voice for people have a need, but are silent about it. My roles interconnect in my mission as I empower people to take control of their lives.

Can you share a memorable experience that highlights the impact of your advocacy work on someone's life?

The most memorable experience of being an advocate is when I recorded and witnessed law enforcement threatening a pregnant lady. I was able to get that officer removed.

How do you use humor and charisma in your public speaking to engage and empower your audience?

I use humor and charisma in public speaking to connect with my audience which allows me to be transparent.
