My name is Thonya Ryan aka Minister Tee, and I am the founder and CEO of GLORI GIRLS LLC. GLORI spelled G-L-O-R-I stands for God Loves Our Real Image and our mission is to help women 40 and over identify the challenges and barriers that prevent them from being their true selves, unapologetically! We start at age 40 because prior to age 40, many of us found our identity in the various roles/titles we performed or lived according to the expectations of others. Only we discover who God created us to be, can we be our true selves! I am also the owner of Mama Lovie’s Sweet Treats, home of my grandmother’s famous yeast rolls!
What has been your most exciting accomplishment to date?
My most exciting accomplishment to date is becoming a 3-time author in one year, with one on the best seller list! I was a contributing author to Faith for Fiery Trials Vol. 3, Faith for Fiery Trials 30-day Devotional, and Courageous Magazine’s Women’s Devotional “Girl Get Up and Win Everyday.”
Any advice to help women thrive through fiery trials?In order to thrive through fiery trials, you have to have faith in God and His word. He told us that our days would be full of trouble, but He also told us that He would never leave us nor forsake us, and that He has given us power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over ALL the power of the enemy: so that nothing shall by any means hurt us! The word of God reminds us of who we are in Him. God refers to us as overcomers, conquerors, and victors so that when the fiery trials come, we can go to the word which is our spiritual fire extinguisher! There’s a word for every situation! The trial may still be there, but the more we focus on God’s word and His power, the flames of the fire will be snuffed out. It’s that unwavering faith that gives us the strength we need to persevere and ultimately overcome!
What is next for you in 2023 and beyond?
I am working on launching a YouTube channel where I will combine back to basics cooking tips along with tips for women on becoming their authentic selves. I am also working on my solo book project to be released in 2024. And I recently walked away from corporate America to do a meal delivery service for individuals and families where I will prepare and deliver budget friendly meals to your door on a subscription basis.
