How are you making Black History today? Hello my name is LaFewanda A. Robbins and helping others has always been my passion and I'm dedicated to seeing others win. I'm married with four adult children (two sons and two daughters) and a GlamMa to a grandson and granddaughter. I currently reside in Charlotte, North Carolina where I was born and raised. I am the first in my immediate family to graduate from college and the only one to have a graduate degree. I graduated from American InterContinental University (AIU) in November 2011 with my Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Management and in May 2024, I will complete my Masters in Social Work.
I'm a serial entrepreneur. I am the owner of Euphoric Encounters Coaching, Robbins Practice Solutions, Robbins Virtual Concepts LLC, and Robbins Immaculate Cleaning LLC. Euphoric Encounters Coaching offers life coaching services to individuals and couples. Robbins Practice Solutions offers professional medical and dental billing services. Robbins Virtual Concepts LLC is a virtual service provider and Robbins Immaculate Cleaning Services LLC offers residential and commercial janitorial services.
At Euphoric Encounters Coaching our mission is to assist clients to discover the life they deserve. In our culture, we have been taught to suppress how we feel and not to seek assistance even if it is destroying us mentally. As a life coach, I am able to assist my clients with identifying their passions, strengths, and values and help them align them to their career choices and relationships. I became a life coach to see if I would like the coaching aspect prior to attempting a career as a Mental Health Therapist. In May, I will be able to offer therapy services to my clients. My goal is to help stop the stigma in our culture about mental health; It is okay to talk to someone and we aren't weak for doing so. If you have been diagnosed with a disorder, you are not your diagnosis and things can get better!
Can you share with us a significant figure from Black History who has personally inspired you and why? Harriet Tubman for her determination, resilience, and desire to help anyone that crossed her path. Although she was born into slavery she did not let that handicap her or her desires to be free or help others to freedom.
For those who are also striving to leave a legacy, what advice would you share?
Don't let what others think or say about you, stagnant you. Do something every day to make your dreams reality. If you don't act on your dreams, that's all it will be is a dream.
How do you plan to make the next year your best year?
Being more visible in the community by networking and building my brands. For a long time, I've contributed to the growth of other brands which limited the time I could dedicate to my own. Long gone are those days, this is my time!
