What led you to become a Brown CEO?
My journey to become a brown CEO was nothing but God. God allowed me to go through something tragic in order to prepare me for what was to come. He knew I would not be able to talk to people about certain things unless he allowed me to go through it first.
What has been the ultimate inspiration for your pursuits?
My storms became the driving force to my purpose. Oftentimes in life we must incur these roadblocks so God can get you to deviate the right direction. It is our own stubbornness and disobedience that keeps us in the storm longer than we need to be.
How will your next book “Faith Walk” impact women of faith?
Through many of my health issues and other storms I have encountered over the years, I felt as though I was alone. At times I became this distraught and depressed version of myself that I did not recognize or like. I tried praying but I felt as though God could not hear me. I tried reading the Bible but thought to myself, “How are these old stories suppose to help and apply to my situation now."
Faith Walk has simplified things a bit. By using my own personal testimony to relate it to the Bible and accompanying it with a quote, Bible Verse, and song, I hope that others will be able to see they are not alone even when they feel it and that the Bible has the answers to every problem you face. Seek Him with your whole heart and your path will be made clear and straight.
How have your efforts impacted the lives of others over the years?
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to talk to others about my Fibromyalgia journey and share helpful advice with them and them with me. Sometimes it was just them needing to talk, vent, and be heard. I have been a mentor to many facing different storms in their life. Though I may not feel the same pains they feel or experienced what they have gone through, but I can empathize with their feelings of hopelessness, depression, anxiety, loneliness, chronic pain, sleepless nights., and the list goes on. When you can physically relate to another individual, they are more likely to open to you because they know what they are going through isn’t falling on deaf ears and you truly understand. I am thankful for the storms God has taken me through and the ways He has used them for me to help others.
Tell us about your 2023 plans and how to connect with you online:
These are my plans and not Gods. I know that what he has instore for me the remainder of 2023 and moving forward is going to be bigger and better than anything I could even dream of.
- God blessed me with the opportunity to be part of the Glambitious Brand Co-Authored Book, Glambitious Guide to Faith, Self-Care & Happiness, with nine other amazing individuals, all from different walks of life, but all with a powerful testimony to share.
- August 2023, at the Glambitious Brands 10th Anniversary, my Christian Devotional, Faith Walk, will be published and released by the Glambitious Brand.
- During the Fall of 2023 I will start working on my second Co-Authored book, Winning In 2024, to be released January of 2024.
- I have currently started working on my second Christian Devotional, name to be released later, that will be published in 2024.
