I’m Tanisha Mackin – a well-known author and publisher of bestsellers. I’m from Buffalo, NY but now I’m in Georgia with my two awesome kids. I love helping others share their stories as a ghostwriter, and now I get to add TV Host and executive producer to my list of credits for my new TV show, Tanisha’s Traveling Bag, which airs on InspireU network and YouTube TV.
How are your current efforts helping to propel women forward?
I’m committed to making the best of every day, and my positive attitude is meant to motivate both genders. After facing tragedy and loss, I realized the power of turning lemons into lemonade. That’s why I wrote my own books and even became a Publisher.
What advice would you share for building a recognizable brand in a saturated market?
It is essential for us, as women, to surround ourselves with a tribe in order to create a successful brand. We cannot do it all on our own. Invest in a team of professionals and I promise you, you’re investing in yourself and your brand.
How do you stay motivated during uncertain seasons?
I needed to teach myself not to be overwhelmed by sadness when things didn’t go well in my business. Taking some time to pause, pray, and clear my head helped me be ready to begin again the next day.
