My name is Dr. Nicole Mason. I am an advocate for justice at my core. I have wanted to be an attorney, since I was 9 years old. I have always had what I’ve come to know as a “righteous indignation” against injustice, inequality, etc. To that end, I have worked in Equal Employment Opportunity/Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for over 30 years.
Additionally, I am a serial entrepreneur. I am the Founder and CEO of Show Up Great®, LLC, a spiritual and leadership development company. I coach and mentor women to create success on their own terms, go after the “more” in their lives and not to settle for what others think is possible or what others think they deserve. My focus is on building confidence and boldness, with faith as the foundation.
I am also the Co-Founder and CEO of a Tech Company, alongside my husband, Sean P. Mason. Capital Gaming Studios, LLC was created to close the digital divide for underrepresented youth via esports, gaming, game development and coding.
Additionally, I am a licensed and ordained minister. My ministry and marketplace assignments intersect. Wherever I am, I am making impact, busting up systemic racism, sexism, etc., and I am empowering the women around me to show up great, speak up with confidence and stand out with courage.
What has been your most exciting accomplishment to date?
My most exciting accomplishment to date is attending and completing Business School on an accelerated pace. Whew! Although a lot of hard work, it was most exhilarating, because I haven’t pushed myself in that way academically in a while. I am a lifelong learner and being in community, stretching myself and reaching my business goals made it all worthwhile.
Any advice to help women thrive through fiery trials?
My advice to women going through fiery trials is to remember their “faith files” and “holy highlights” of what God has already done in the past. God is faithful, and He can be trusted. What He’s done in the past, He certainly will and wants to do again. And He is not a respecter of person. And this just simply means that God does not have favorites. We are all special to Him. We are all the apple of His eye. The question really is, “Have you accepted Him into your heart to access His love and all that He wants to do for you?”
What is next for you in 2023 and beyond?
I will be releasing several books in the Faith For Fiery Trials Franchise. Books of faith focused on men, prayer, ministry and more. I will also be forging ahead with a Coding Camp for Girls, Show Up Great® Mentoring Program, and Live Events. My focus is always on making impact and transforming the hearts of women and girls to unapologetically be all that God created them to be.
