Top 21 Women of 2021: Dr. Ashley Little

Please describe what your passions have been this year in entrepreneurship?
My passions for entrepreneurship this year was to continue to be omnipresence, build genuine relationships, and partnerships. Next, my passions were to take all of my companies to the next level which was a great success. This year has been a miraculous year for me. I can't put into words the doors God has opened for me. My focus has always been "If, you build it, they will come" and to always do the work.

What were your 3 most proud accomplishments of 2021?
This year has been AMAZING!! it is hard to name three because I am proud of all the major accomplishments I was able to accomplish this year. Giving God all the credit for all of the major doors he continues to open for me. Please see below:
1. I was featured in Forbes and I am apart of The Forbes Next 1000 class of 2021 in partnership with Square. This first-of-its-kind initiative celebrates bold and inspiring entrepreneurs who are redefining what it means to run a business. This was truly a dream come true and has been on my bucket list. Lastly, I was featured in Black Enterprise again this year. To be recognized by two major media outlets Forbes and Black Enterprise again this year was truly an honor and a blessing.

2. One of my companies The HBCU Experience Movement, LLC the first black-owned publishing company to publish books written by prominent HBCU alumni throughout the world who attended Historically Black Colleges & Universities. We were able to create some more endowments, major partnerships, and add more schools to the movement which was a great success.  Lastly, we are getting ready to award some of our first scholars next year at some of our schools which is a major accomplishment.

3. I was a recipient of Nashville's Black 40 Under 40 Awards. It is an annual event honoring the best and the brightest for their accomplishments in their chosen field and for their contributions and commitment to the African-American Community.

Any advice to readers who want the next year to be their best year?
My advice to readers would be to 1) Put God first and build genuine purposeful relationships. 2) Figure out ways you can serve and bring value to everyone you come in contact with. 3) If, you are not invited to the table, build your own table and invite people you want to connect with to your table. 4) Do not wait for anyone to give you a seat at the table, create your own. 5) Get in the room and make sure you are adding value. 6) Relationships are worth more than money. 7) Focus on building a Billion Dollar Network.

Share how you plan to dominate 2022?
My plan to dominate 2022 are 1) Continuing to do the work. 2) More speaking engagements nationally and internationally. 3) Continuing to invest in my personal development. 4) Continuing to build more genuine purposeful relationships. 5) Continuing to build more partnerships and sponsorships. 6) Execute, Execute, Execute.
